Membership of RAISE is only open to UK-based organisations. To join, complete the form at the foot of this page and click the APPLY button. We will, normally, confirm your membership within five working days.

There are two types of membership:

1. Full

Full members comprise the RAISE governing body. They have a vote at General Meetings and in three electoral colleges: one Geographical College and two Special Interest Colleges. Your organisation can be a full member if it fulfils nine simple criteria. It must:

pursue generally charitable or philanthropic objectives for the benefit of the community
deliver a service to people in and be active in the south east
not exist to pursue party political, governmental or commercial objectives
be non-profit distributing
be accountable to members or users in the south east
be primarily governed by volunteers
have a constitution or other accepted rules of working
have properly convened meetings from time to time for reporting to members or users
subscribe to the aims and objectives of RAISE

2. Affiliate

Your organisation can be an Affiliate member if it does not fulfil the criteria for full membership but is interested in the work of RAISE. Within RAISE, Affiliate members do not have a vote.
