RAISE’s policy work focuses on issues that have the potential to have a profound positive or negative impact on either :
i) a discrete group within the voluntary and community sector (e.g. organisations of a particular type), or;
ii) a significant portion of the voluntary and community sector.
RAISE only carries out policy/advocacy work that adds value to work already being done by other organisations such as a new perspective and/or a significantly strengthened voice.
The RAISE team prepares briefing papers and summaries to give you an at a glance appraisal of the key policy facts, and how they might affect the sector. This is where RAISE seeks to find out your views.
There are no current central government consultations affecting the voluntary and community sector. RAISE is eagerly awaiting the Social Care White Paper, due out in April. We would like to hear your views on it.
RAISE will also submit a response to the Big Lottery Fund’s ‘Building Capabilities for Impact and Legacy’ by the 15th March deadline. Visit the Big Lottery Fund’s website to find out more about this consultation. If you have any views on this, please submit them to us using the form below. The documents are available to download at the bottom of this page.
You can tell us your opinion on any consultation that is of interest to you by contacting a member of the RAISE team or by filling out the form below.
